Warranty Terms & Conditions

Sturdy Sports supports all genuine warranties. We endeavour to provide standard warranty in accordance with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission. We always strive to process the warranty claims within reasonable time frame that might include the assessment by the manufacturer at times depending on case to case.

Please see below the Warranty Period for the gears where warranty period commences from the date of purchase.

• Cricket Bat – Comes with standard 12 months warranty for the manufacturer’s fault and does not cover the customer fault. Please see below for Bat Warranty details & Process

• Protective gears – Split seams/stitching are covered under warranty and the warranty period is 3 months. Wear & Tear including broken strap buckles are not included in Warranty under any circumstances

• Kit Bags - Split seams/stitching/broken zipper & faulty wheel are covered under warranty and the warranty period is 3 months. Wear & Tear including breaking of wheels is not included in Warranty under any circumstances
• Shoes - Split seams/stitching/spike blowout or separation of the sole are covered under warranty and the warranty period is 6 months. Wear & Tear including stud threading is not included in Warranty under any circumstances
• Helmets – Only broken micro adjustment feature is covered under warranty and the warranty period is 6 months. Wear and tear or any damage caused by impact of a cricket ball, careless handling are not covered under any circumstances
• Rest of the Products - will be assessed by Sturdy Sports and or the manufacturer on goodwill basis
• Bat Repairs – Bat repairs do not come with any warranty as after the repair the bat needs to again face the cricket balls coming at a high speed and can either break in one ball or might last long for years.
  As a surgical procedure has its risks associated and there is no guarantee, same implies to the bat repairs. Though we do our best and take all necessary precautions, the bat may not remain or perform the same as before (depending on the kind of repair). However if any issues arise, these can be assessed by Sturdy Sports on goodwill basis.

We charge Flat $25.99* per item for Express Domestic Postage to major cities all across Australia.

*Excludes the postage for bulk orders, bulky items like Oversize Kit bags, Cricket Nets, Stumps, etc. *The above charges do not apply to extreme regional areas, regional areas of Western Australia & Northern Territory and far off areas or country side areas. In this case, once you have placed the order, we will contact you for any additional cost for the kind of postage you have selected. We always check the goods before dispatch. Although all efforts are made to avoid any errors, though rarely, mistakes can happen. We strongly advise you to thoroughly check the goods when you receive them and in a rare case where the goods you ordered are damaged, defective or incorrect, we advise you to contact us immediately within 48 hours of receiving the goods. Returns won’t be accepted for defects or faults reported after 48hrs of receiving the goods.

Terms & Conditions for Returns

• The item MUST be in a saleable condition (i.e. the original tags and labels are still attached, the item is in its original packaging (if any), and the item is unworn, unused and as sold).
• Any free stuff you have received from us with the gears MUST also be returned in new, unused and saleable condition
• Returns won’t be accepted if the item is an exclusion* (Please see below).
• A satisfactory proof of purchase MUST be provided at the time of return along with the item and any Free gifts or gears received. Please retain a copy of proof of purchase for your reference.
• The item MUST be returned back within 30 days of purchase. If the item is received after 30 days of purchase, unfortunately no refund will be issued.

Bat Knocking Service

Bat Knocking is one of the very essential and significant process in preparing the bat. It plays an important role to increase the longevity of the bat and get the optimum performance in a short span of time. We knock the bats with the latest Hi-tech machines ensuring that toe, edges and blade of the bat are knocked thoroughly.  We provide more than 15,000 knocks to every new bat and No further knocking is required after our knocking service.

Match Ready Service

We also provide Match Ready service that includes oiling, sanding, buffing & applying face protection sheet along with side edges on bats and applying wax on the back of the bat. All these processes help to reduce facial marks & cracks by 75 – 90%, provide protection & improves longevity of the bats as they are expensive.

• Oiling - helps to maintain moisture in the bat and increase performance & life.
• Sanding – removes excess oil from blade of the bat, also reduce weight added during oiling and bring back the natural colour of the bat.
• Buffing – brings shine back to the bat and helps in locking the moisture.
• Face & Edge protection - helps in maintaining your bat during tough conditions and reduce the marks from new ball, minimize edge damages and protect it on a rainy day.
• Toe Protection - Toe is one of the most vulnerable part of a cricket bat. Its important to prevent it from water damage. We apply shoe goo as part of Match Ready Service for the bats that do not come with Rubber Toe Guard. Its imperative to maintain toe protection at all times.
• Bee Wax – is applied at the back side of the bat to lock the moisture inside the bat, add shine & give professional look to your new bat.

Please Note: Match Ready service is a significant step. The bat has to undergo manual process (handling, oiling, sanding, etc). We take utmost care in the process but the bat might still get some superficial marks. In no way, this will effect the performance or life of the bat.
